I know that QA can be seen as a very dry subject and even by some a irritating necessity; but I see it purely as the name for the most efficient way to provide, record and monitor our premium service to you the client.
 
I know from my time working for two large construction companies (Taylor Woodrow and Birse Construction) as a QS that information is the key to payment. Whether you are a subcontract or a main contractor without back-up information then it is near impossible to justify payment from your client. Therefore our QA policy is set up so that we have the correct information and that information is passed to you the client.
 
As our client you are our main source of income and as such your feedback is invaluable. Once again one of the backbones of our QA policy is to collate, monitor and act on the comments (good or bad) from clients. Unless we provide the service you want in the way in which you want it you will not come knocking on our door in the future.
 
So we do not see QA as a dirty word it is quite literally the paper on which you write our cheques.
