Alltask has been supporting British Gas with asbestos identification and removal services on a national basis since 2012, providing responsive support across domestic and commercial environments where safety, speed of response and clear communication are critical.
Over that period, British Gas has entrusted Alltask to deliver specialist asbestos services in support of their field operations across the UK. From urgent domestic removals to planned identification works, the relationship has been built on reliability, technical competence and the ability to respond quickly when required.
Since the beginning of the partnership, the current account value of works delivered by Alltask for British Gas is just shy of £8 million, reflecting both the scale of the programme and the trust placed in Alltask’s delivery capability.
British Gas forms part of the Centrica Group, one of the UK’s largest integrated energy companies. Centrica provides energy supply, services and infrastructure across millions of homes and businesses, with British Gas remaining one of the most recognised and trusted brands in the UK energy market. Through its various divisions, the organisation delivers heating, electrical and energy services nationwide.
The relationship between Alltask and British Gas is strengthened through close working relationships with operational teams across the country. Russell Benham, Service Partner Manager at British Gas, commented on the collaboration:
“Alltask has been a long-standing service partner to British Gas. We are a customer facing business and for us it’s all about the personal touch. Great communication makes the difference to our customers both internally and externally. Neil Endersby, Alltask Delivery Manager, has built up great relationships with our field managers and is very flexible in his availability when it comes to communication. We appreciate speed of response when customers need us and generally Alltask have been able to assist in short notice removals.”
The ability to respond quickly to urgent situations remains one of the most important aspects of the partnership. Many removals arise unexpectedly during maintenance or installation works, requiring specialist contractors who can mobilise quickly while maintaining strict compliance with asbestos regulations and safe working practices.
The broader Centrica group continues to play a major role in the UK’s energy infrastructure. Notably, Centrica recently completed a significant commercial agreement relating to capacity at the Grain LNG terminal on the Isle of Grain in Kent, one of Europe’s largest liquefied natural gas import terminals. The site plays a critical role in UK energy security by enabling gas to be imported from global markets and fed into the national transmission system.
With energy infrastructure and building safety remaining national priorities, strong partnerships between service providers and major energy organisations will continue to be essential.
Alltask is proud to support British Gas and looks forward to continuing the collaboration in the years ahead.
