Pelham Substation

Kevin Reidy/ Construction Manager/ Murphys

Now that the works on the ballistic screen and crash deck are coming to a close I just thought I would send an email regarding the works that were completed on site.

Billy Russell, Carl Harrold, Billy Burch, Daniel Lupton, Tye Marchant, and Ricky Whiting

All operatives conducted themselves very well while on site, there was a lot of interface with staff, operatives and the client due to the location of the works being in the office and welfare compound. Communication between the scaffold team and MPN Supervisors was excellent at all times.

All members of the team had the highest regard for safety, full PPE, work at height equipment and the close proximity to live HV equipment. This was especially noticeable during the high-risk activity of lifting in the beams to span the gates. This was also commented on by the client NG.

The NG SAP that issued the document was very happy with the work and the way in which the team respected the HV equipment and adhered to the safety document at all times.

Richard Bridges kept in regular contact with the team and undertook a number of tool box talks on site with the team.

A  special mention to Billy Russell, his safety documentation was always completed  and issued to me each day before work commenced. He managed the team  excellently with regards to the complex nature of the design, methodology,  logistics and always with the highest regards for safety.
