Earlier this year, Alltask was invited to and attended the European Industrial Insulation Foundation (EiiF) AGM in Münster, Germany. This annual event brings together leading experts, contractors, and manufacturers to shape the future of the insulation industry.

The focus this year was the shift from energy efficiency to energy security — a topic with real-world relevance given today’s energy landscape.

Here’s why this matters:

  • The UK imports a significant share of its energy, making us reliant on global markets, political stability, and international trade agreements.
  • Wars, tariffs, or supply chain disruptions can send prices soaring and threaten national energy security.
  • Every kilowatt-hour saved is one we don’t have to import. Insulation is one of the simplest, fastest, and most cost-effective ways to achieve this — a genuine “low-hanging fruit” for businesses.

At the AGM, we had direct input into discussions on innovation, sustainability, and energy resilience — ensuring Alltask continues to lead the way in helping clients cut costs, carbon emissions, and reliance on imported energy.

And the savings are substantial. Our recent insulation upgrades at Kimberly-Clark Northfleet delivered:

  • 393,547 kWh saved per year on one system
  • 467,507 kWh saved per year on another

That’s over 850,000 kWh annually, saving our client hundreds of thousands of pounds every single year — with minimal disruption to operations.
