Lewisham Park Towers

Alltask Scaffolding Major Works

As part of an improvement programme across the Lewisham Park Towers estate, Alltask was appointed by Axis Europe to provide comprehensive scaffolding access to Bredgar Tower. This critical infrastructure supported the installation of external wall insulation and various façade upgrades on the 18-storey residential block.

Scaffold design was undertaken by Prime Scaffold and Structural Design, ensuring a robust and safe system tailored to the needs of this high-rise project.

Our Role
The scaffolding system used was a traditional tube and fitting design. Haki staircases were installed to full height on each block to ensure safe vertical access.

The scaffold reached a height of 18 lifts and was specifically erected to enable the installation of external wall insulation and other façade upgrade works.

Key Considerations

  • Resident Safety & Access: Continuous safe access maintained for all residents throughout the works.
  • Protection: The scaffold was fully sheeted, offering essential protection from weather and preventing debris from affecting the surrounding area.
  • Project Delivery: The works were delivered on schedule, with minimal disruption to local residents and estate activity.

The scaffold provided by Alltask enabled our client to carry out vital retrofit upgrades on Bredgar Tower, supporting a broader regeneration programme spanning 204 homes across three towers. The improvements have resulted in:

  • Enhanced energy efficiency
  • Refreshed and durable building façade
  • Improved living conditions for residents

To preserve the estate’s identity, new history boards were installed in all three towers, highlighting original design elements and celebrating the character of the buildings following modernisation.
