Alltask was delighted to support One Big Family, a small, voluntary-run charity based in Chatham that helps the homeless and anyone in financial crisis with essentials and kindness.
One Big Family’s largest project is supported accommodation which takes rough sleepers from the streets and helps them address their underlying causes of homelessness and help to find permanent housing.
They also have an established Sunday evening soup kitchen on Chatham High Street. In addition to the soup kitchen, OBF does regular outreach work around the Medway Towns, offering support and accompanying people to appointments such as the housing team, referrals for mental health, or Doctors.
They provide home starter packs to people who go into temporary accommodation and emergency winter refuge when the temperature is a feel factor of zero. In addition, they also deliver food parcels.
OBF rely on donations and charity events to make this possible alongside their team of dedicated and caring volunteers.
