The Peterborough Compressor Station features two large industrial stacks that are highly visible from the city centre. To enhance their appearance, a bespoke cladding solution was designed and installed by Alltask who was the Principal Contractor.
Since the compressors needed to be switched off for the duration of the work, the project had to be completed within a strict timeframe. The installation was also notified to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) to ensure regulatory compliance.

A key feature of this project was the custom cladding system, specifically developed to enhance the appearance of the stacks. Alltask has extensive experience with cladding, but this was our first project involving architectural cladding, making it an interesting project.
Challenges & Considerations
This project did not present any major restrictions or technical obstacles. However, the main challenge was adhering to the tight schedule dictated by compressor shutdown requirements. Despite this, Alltask successfully delivered the project on time.
