Jim Scott Joins Panel on Building Careers and Forging Futures
In April, representatives from business, education, and both national and local government came together in Maidstone for SKILLS 25 โ the inaugural cross-sector skills summit hosted by the Kent & Medway Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP). The event focused on addressing skills priorities across key regional sectors: Construction, Social Care, Fresh Food & Horticulture, Manufacturing & Engineering, and the Creative Industries.
Alltask was proud to take part, with Jim Scott joining the Building Careers and Forging Futures panel. Jim contributed to an insightful discussion alongside fellow industry and education leaders, exploring how cross-sector collaboration can better prepare individuals for the workforce and create sustainable career pathways โ particularly within construction.
The day was a great success, marked by connections and engaging discussions, with skills development at the centre of every conversation. It was a clear reminder that collective effort and open dialogue are key to driving progress on regional workforce challenges.
We are proud that Alltask was represented in these important conversations, and we look forward to continuing our work to support future talent across Kent and Medway.
