ISG contracted Alltask to provide access solutions for £69mil Project Mint at the iconic O2 Arena. The works involve constructing a new designer outlet, casino, and refurbishment of the existing cinema complex and retail units. Alltask’s involvement in the project consisted of enabling works by providing a temporary footbridge, staircases, and a cable support bridge system to allow site access to operatives.
As the project progressed, we provided continued access solutions for demolition works, brick, blockwork, and escalator installations. Dust screens to protect the current merchandise and ticket offices utilise encapsulated scaffolding provided by Alltask as a turnkey solution. Key features on some of the structures included loading platforms, a heavy-duty hoist gantry system, and protective scaffolds for the public.
I just wanted to say how delighted we have been to have Matt on Project Mint over the past 18 months. He often went well beyond the call of duty to help me both personally and ISG as a company. Certainly one of the best managers/supervisors for any trades I have had the privilege to work with.
Credit must also go the rest of the guys; all of them very well spirited and hardworking throughout the project, not to mention excellent at maintaining 5 point PPE at all times where other trades were slightly more fluid.
